A crossroad

August 24, 2010
Hi all,

As usual it has been a long time since I posted, but I have still been chewing things over in my head. As I grow older and see more of the "outside world" there are things that still shock me like, where has everyone's integrity gone? Why aren't people polite and honest anymore, because when Mom and Dad were growing up, America was full of people of intergrity, so what happened? How did this administration get elected and why is everyone just standing by watching our nation crumble? Perhaps it is because no one cares? Or maybe it is because we are training an ignorant generation that has no idea where our country is headed. Maybe that's it. This ignorance comes from what they have been taught. Schools now teach what they want kids to know. (It's very easy to turn a nation upside down when you control what is right and wrong.) So why do the schools teach what they teach? This world is in a constant battle of right and wrong. One side will always prevail over the other. Schools now teach what the government allows them, and the government wants complete control and therefore cannot let it's people know this nation's history because if they did, it's game over for them. So the government will teach that those Socialists and Progressives are the good guys, while our Founding Fathers and those that wanted limited government where unfair and discriminative. They will teach that everyone has rights, so long as those rights don't offend you. They will ultimately make "sheepl" ready to believe whatever they tell them. Truth will be blotted out to those that search for it. Seems we are at a crossroad. Do we stand by and let the government take over our lives and the lives of all those ahead of us? Or do we take a stand and make the truth plainly heard because we are Americans and we will settle for nothing less? It sounds hard, are you up for the challenge? Keep in mind, we are at a crossroad.

Long time no post...

May 28, 2010

Hi all,

A lot has happened since my last post. Many things have changed not only in my life, but in the life of most Americans. The President has made many changes to this so called "Christian" nation but God is still on the throne and no matter what happens in this earth, He is and always will be in control. But while on this earth, we tend to forget who is the Author of everything and we look to people to solve our problems. I have been reading the Uncle Eric series and in "Whatever Happ...

Sounding Forth the Trumpet

December 3, 2009

I just finished reading the Light and the Glory series. The whole series is the about the birth of America, and the trials that it has gone through. As I posted before, throughout history, America has seen huge revivals. And usually before those revivals America is going through some tough times. The authors' note in the series sums up everything. I quote:

"At the close of Uncle Tom's Cabin Harriet Beecher Stowe made an impassioned appeal: If the reader was moved by what he or she had read...

Benefit Concert

June 24, 2009
Hi all,

We had a benefit concert two weeks ago, and I have been meaning to post about it but have just been too busy! It was amazing to see how God worked in all of us! We had a dress rehearsal the day before, and we were all a little stressed out about how it was all going to work. When the performance came, we all had such peace, the peace that is past understanding. The concert went very well, but if I were to stop there, I would be missing a huge part of it. Allot prayer went into this an...

Teen Pact National Convention

June 4, 2009
Hi all,

I just came back from the Teen Pact National Convention. While I was there I heard from allot of different speakers on different subjects. What stood out to me the most was the amazing people that were there and their goal of serving God. I was surrounded by kids my age and was amazed at the attitude of many of them. It was an attitude of revival! There where some 400 people there all striving to get closer to God! Something I will never forget is how we broke up to pray the last day....

The Light and the Glory

April 1, 2009
I have been reading the Light and the Glory series by David Manuel and Peter Marshall. The book is about the founding of America from a Christian standpoint. Throughout the book, they trace God's hand in the making of our country. Starting with Christopher Columbus through to the beginning of the Civil War, things happened that could only be done by God. Take the first and second Great Awakening, He used one person, willing to do God's will to start a huge revival that spread throughout the...
